The Rules of Attire for the ball maintain a certain atmosphere of formality, dignity, and modesty. For this reason, all guests are required to follow the dress codes detailed in the "Ladies" and "Gentlemen" links above.
These rules of attire are not to be taken lightly, and the ladies and gentlemen should not attempt to wear any outfit that might be considered unacceptable, even if it technically meets the dress code. It is at the sole discretion of the chaperones whether or not a guest’s attire is considered to have met the dress code.
Historical Ball Costumes of the 18th and 19th centuries are encouraged, but are certainly not required. If a costume is worn, it must be modest and dignified.
Parents who have signed-up to volunteer or purchased a ticket for themselves are welcome to dance and enjoy the evening. However, if you wish to participate in the dancing, you must obey the dress code.

The dress code will be enforced at the sole discretion of the chaperones.
